Punjab finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema proposed a budgetary allocation of Rs. 6,947 crore for free power to agriculture tube wells in the state.

The Bhagwant Mann government in Punjab on Monday presented its first budget after coming to power in the state. During his budget speech, finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema announced a budgetary allocation of 11,560 crores for the agriculture sector.
